Heart of Kids is the youth branch of Heart of Chaos and was founded by 9-year-old emerging artist Anthony Mingus in January 2008. We fuel young minds by inspiring youth 4-15 years of age to explore their artistic talents and showcase their skills at community exhibits. Mentoring by Heart of Chaos artists is an important component of the program. As the children grow with Heart of Kids we envision many will want to stay involved in the program and become mentors for younger generations.

Debut of Heart of Kids
Heart of Kids artists were featured at the 2nd Annual Chalk Art Festival on June 14, 2008 and will also be featured at the second event on August 30, 2008 at the National Hispanic University.

Currently Seeking Funding for Youth Training Center
Plans are underway for an artist run gallery and training center to provide art classes and workshops for the community. We intend to provide a safe environment where youth can come together and create. Get more information about how you can help.

Anthony Mingus and Steven Talamantes create at the First Annual Chalk Art Festival.
