Call for Artists: UpRoar 2009 Art Exhibit and Sale
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009Heart of Chaos is calling for artists to participate in UpRoar 2009, an open-themed group art exhibit. All mediums and expressions accepted. The objective of UpRoar 2009 is to provide a marketplace where artists can sell their work during prime holiday buying season. Entries should be priced with the intention to sell!

Heart of Chaos (see http://www.heartofchaos.net) once again brings “UpRoar” to San Jose with it’s second annual exhibit at South First Billiards. Anything goes in this open themed exhibit juried by the attending reception audience. You remember last year, we are doing it up even BIGGER this year! So bring on the ART!
Theme: Open, anything goes! All mediums and forms of expression welcome.

Entry Fee: $20.00 per artist for up to 3 submissions,
(includes free admission for the artist at the opening reception)
Submission Drop Offs: October 27 – November 1, 2008 from 4-10PM at South First Billiards, 420 South First Street, San Jose, 95113. Completed Entry Form Must Be Submitted with Entries. You must be 21+ to enter South First Billiards. Exhibit entry is open to artists under 21 please send us a message for special drop off arrangements if needed.
Opening Reception: November 7th, 9pm-1am
Featuring Live Music and Dance Showcase

Everyone else $5 at the door (all door proceeds benefit Heart of Chaos)

Heart of Kids Young Artists Exhibit – Submission Deadline Extended to 7/31
Friday, July 25th, 2008Heart of Kids is calling for entries for the Young Artist exhibit opening Tuesday, August 5th. Entry is free and open to all young artists ages 4-15.
Drop off Submissions .. July 31st at Gardner Community Center, 520 W Virginia St, San Jose, CA 95125 Monday – Friday 9a-5p. If you require special arrangements please send us a message.
Entry Requirements:
- Complete the entry form
- Attach a tag to each piece with artists name, age, entry title, parent/guardian’s name and phone number and selling price (mark as NFS if entry should not be sold)
- Enter up to 3 pieces
- Open to all mediums
- Open to all artists ages 4-15
- Entries must be ready to be wall hung
Opening Reception:
When: Tuesday, August 5th 4-7PM
Where: Gardner Community Center, 520 W Virginia St, San Jose, CA 95125
Admission: FREE
The Heart of Kids reception is part of National Night Out and will feature Free BBQ, Live Music, Arts and Crafts, Free Raffle Prizes and much more provided by Gardner Community Center.
