all began in the summer of 2007. Through
partial funding provided by the City of San Jose, Heart of Chaos and
Catalyst for Youth successfully put on the First Annual Chalk Art
Festival. The three part series brought artists and communities together
for three seperate days of colorful creation!
This year we once again brought an explosion of color and
vitality to the community with the first event in the 2nd Annual
Chalk Art Festival on June 14th at Gardner Community Center! Local
artists from Heart of Chaos and
Heart of Kids, our new youth art
collective, demonstrated a variety of chalk art alongside community
children and adults.
The second and final event in the two part series
is scheduled for August 30th at the National Hispanic University
in San Jose. The festival is free and everyone is invited to participate
with the provided sidewalk chalk.

The August 30th event will feature chalk art,
live music by djs Rayz, Shea and Bittersweet and free face painting.

for the Second Annual Chalk Art Festival event on Saturday August
30, 2008 at The National Hispanic University. Sponsorship requires
only a $100 donation and includes the following benefits to you:

We are currently seeking venues for our 3rd Annual Chalk Art Festival
in the Summer of 2009. Our chalk art events typically bring out
a crowd of 300+ community members of all ages. If you have a community
